BREATHING EACH OTHER
Breathing Each Other is an immersive,
participatory performative research,
exploring the layers of communal, collective, and self-care,
highlighting the critical interdependence between individual well
being and collective nurturing.
This work emphasizes the vital role of community—not just among
humans but within the entire natural ecosystem, including animals,
plants, air, water, and earth.
The dramaturgy of Breathing Each Other unfolds as a fluid, cyclical wave where dominance and care continuously shift, intertwining and redefining each other. This recurring dynamic reflects the tension between power and nurturing.
The audience is being directed through the space, which it-self
creates the dynamic of dominance and submission that mirrors the themes explored in the piece.
Created collaboratively by artists Henri (or Hernie) and Jere, this ongoing project melts diverse artistic practices.
Jere brings a multidimensional approach informed by a background in immersive, socio-political, and technologically-driven art while
Henri’s way is about profound storytelling, fascinated by images, that uncover humans’ own abyss within their own minds, integrating elements of video and musical performance.
What you see
